Another political prisoner has been released in Belarus. This time, it was Zmitser Bandarenka, the Coordinator of European Belarus and presidential candidate Andrei Sannikov’s colleague from the presidential election 2010.

When Belarusian independent media met Bandarenka after the release he told them;

I will continue my public activity. I want my country to be free, to be European.

According to Andrei Sannikov, who was released a day before Bandarenka, it is obvious that the release has to do with the pressure from the European Union. This is something that the editor of Charter 97, Natallia Radzina, also points out.
